What is adventure?

“No, no! The adventures first, explanations take such a dreadful time.” Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll

Does anyone ever really crave the mundane? I hate to admit although "average" is wildly unappealing, adventures sometimes sound exhausting. I mean, reality tells me I have bills to pay and need to get dinner on the table. How adventurous can I be and still help my kids with their school projects and make sure the dog's been fed? Adventures need to fit in a very narrow window. Perhaps that's why I love this video so much.  While the narrator is on a true, non carpool running adventure, he also points out "extreme" isn't the heart of what adventure means. Instead, he argues, "Adventure is curiosity, the willingness to embrace uncertainty; wonder, about the possibility of doing just one thing differently than before." ONE thing differently?  I think I can handle that!  Now to ask the questions and wonder. "The questions we ask shape our path." What are you asking?
