The List: Daddy D'z Que Wraps

If you live or visit Atlanta and you haven't found great BBQ, you need to widen your circle of friends. I've raved about Community BBQ, Sams BBQ1,the fabulous Fox Brothers, and even today's spot, Daddy D'z, is a repeat.  If you aren't local and you like BBQ, Atlanta should definitely be on your short list for a visit.

This week I popped into Daddy D'z with the specific goal of trying their Que Wraps from this edition of Creative Loafing's Best Dish List.

It was hotter than Hades during the lunch hour and the inside area was packed full of business men from downtown offices, so I sat outside.  My server was THE BEST keeping my iced tea full and letting me know when a seat opened up.

I hadn't done any research about the list item, the Que Wraps, but it turns out the name is an accurate description.  If you imagine a taste of BBQ wrapped up in bite size fried wonder, you would be correct.

Absolutely brilliant! I mean, who wouldn't like having a portable BBQ?  Genius!Of course, Que wraps do not a meal make.  This time I tried the pulled chicken sandwich. While this was a solid choice,  next time I'll go back to the ribs (they are UHmazing!!)Next time you're in downtown, swing on by Daddy Dz!  I'm so glad I did!
