A single thought
I spent my blog writing time watching the Golden Globes. I'm a sucker for awards shows. They are beyond ridiculous and fantastic for people-watching. Then, to top it all off, watching my twitter explode with jokes... oh it's the best!
And yet, there was at least one profound thought that I immediately wanted to remember.
It was spoken by Gina Rodriguez, who won for her work on Jane the Virgin. Although I haven't seen the show, I loved her touching speech (note to self - check OnDemand feed).
After expressing her gratitude she closed with a simple and elegant thought:
“My father used to tell me to say every morning that today is going to be a great day. I can and I will. Well, Dad, today’s a great day. I can and I did.”
Put that simple nugget in your arsenal this Monday.
Today is going to be a GREAT day. You CAN. You WILL.
