Summer is here (at least in the south!), the grilling season is in full swing, and the company starts arriving consistently at Memorial Day.  If you don't already have a sangria recipe, this one is tasty AND easy.  Note that you DO need to let the flavors develop overnight, so plan ahead! Here's all you need:

  • 4 cups Diet Ginger Ale
  • 1 bottle white wine (you can use red if you'd like the more traditional sangria feel, but I prefer white for looks and taste)
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 small can diced pineapple (with juices)
  • splash orange juice
  • 2  tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries (or raspberries if you'd rather) fresh or frozen

Slice the fruit and admire the beautiful coloring. Squeeze the juices into a large pitcher (making sure there are no stray seeds).  After squeezing the fruit, cut into wedges.
