Celebtrating the 1,000 milestone!!!!

September 29, 2014

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
Lao Tzu

Welcome to my 1,000th blog post.

I’ve hit “Publish” a thousand times in this space.

Think about the things you’ve done a thousand or more times: brushed your teeth, folded laundry, filled the car with gas, charged your phone, fought traffic, walked to the mailbox, misspelled the word “Wednesday.”

Outside of daily chores, the thousand benchmark isn’t often hit.

I wish I had a profound way of celebrating or something wildly creative to say.

But although I’ve been seeing this day on the horizon, for once I am at a loss.  Or, more precisely, I don’t know where to start, and, I fear, if I do start, I wouldn’t have a natural stopping point.

Mostly I just want to gush — to tell you how much I’ve appreciated the support, encouragement and always (ALWAYS!) nice notes/comments/forwards/words you have for me.  I get misty thinking that my musings have an influence on friends and strangers alike.

I am honestly humbled that you all give my thoughts your precious attention.

I don’t say it often enough, but thanks for being here!
